Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Physical Therapists in performing comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical capabilities, focusing on mobility, strength, and functional limitations.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists to optimize patient recovery and rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Provide hands-on treatment through manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities targeting musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, detailing treatment interventions and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and facility protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary care team to create comprehensive and cohesive patient care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on safe home exercise programs, adaptive aids, and preventive strategies to ensure continued recovery post-discharge.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development by pursuing advanced certifications and attending relevant training programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Graduation from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Current California PTA License and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
  • Strong clinical evaluation and treatment skills to effectively assist practitioners and support patient recovery.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to ensure effective communication with patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, particularly in orthopedic settings.
