Work Environment
You will be working onsite in a bustling hospital outpatient clinic that emphasizes teamwork and collaboration. Our clinic features a state-of-the-art therapy gym, and a wide array of equipment to support various physical therapy techniques. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
  • Implement customized therapy programs developed by licensed physical therapists, working directly to facilitate patient recovery through exercises and methodologies.
  • Deliver varied therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and neuromuscular reeducation under the guidance of supervising physical therapists.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of patient care, utilizing our electronic medical record (EMR) system to track treatments and monitor progress effectively.
  • Educate patients on safe exercise techniques, posture training, and develop home exercise programs to ensure continued improvement between therapy sessions.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, clinic aides, and administrative staff to enhance patient flow and care delivery.
  • Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment plans based on individual needs, and promptly reporting any changes in condition to the supervising physical therapist and relevant healthcare team members.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position focuses on a diverse population of patients primarily dealing with orthopedic conditions. You will assist patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or chronic pain issues, utilizing evidence-based practices to facilitate rehabilitation. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that every aspect of patient care is addressed, fostering comprehensive recovery strategies.
Qualifications
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Completion of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program is preferred.
  • Licensure: A current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant license for New Jersey is essential for this role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication abilities, time management skills, and a strong foundation in collaborative healthcare practices are mandatory.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain before starting.
Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
