Work Environment
This position is situated at our state-of-the-art outpatient orthopedic facility within a hospital, ensuring access to comprehensive resources and collaborative support from a multidisciplinary team. As a PTA, you will work onsite alongside experienced Physical Therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a structured atmosphere that values teamwork and communication. Our schedule runs Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with licensed Physical Therapists to implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and utilize various modalities to aid in patient recovery.
  • Conduct regular assessments and document patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Engage with patients by providing encouragement and emotional support, fostering a motivational environment throughout their rehabilitation journey.
  • Ensure a clean, organized treatment space and facilitate smooth patient flows within the clinic.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss case progress and contribute to collaborative care plans.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The primary focus of this position is on patients recovering from orthopedic issues, including those following surgeries, sustaining sports injuries, or managing chronic pain conditions. As a PTA, your role is instrumental in helping these individuals regain their strength, mobility, and independence. You will work with a diverse patient group, ranging from athletes to elderly individuals, ensuring personalized care that addresses each person's unique needs and rehabilitation goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine commitment to patient-centered care.
  • Ability to efficiently follow therapy protocols while adapting to the dynamic needs of patients.
  • Must be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working autonomously as well as part of a team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, with a focus on orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management.
  • Previous familiarity with therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practice in a clinical setting.

Compensation and Benefits
