Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to develop tailored treatment plans addressing a variety of conditions, including sports injuries, orthopedic surgeries, and chronic pain.
  • Implement advanced treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education, to enhance patients' mobility and strength.
  • Document treatment progress diligently using our electronic health record system, ensuring clear communication with the medical team and adjustments to therapy as needed.
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercise protocols, injury prevention strategies, and wellness practices to support long-term recovery.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Monitor patients' responses to treatment and make necessary modifications based on their progress and feedback.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and knowledge sharing initiatives within the team to maintain high standards of care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily work with individuals undergoing rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical patients and those with sports-related injuries. You will play a crucial role in helping these patients regain their functional abilities, improve their quality of life, and prevent future injuries.
Qualifications
  • A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license is required.
  • Completion of a Doctorate (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, particularly in outpatient orthopedics, is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in patient assessment and treatment planning.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a focus on empathy and patient engagement.
  • Ability to adapt treatment approaches to meet individual patient needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with specialized therapy modalities such as dry needling, aquatic therapy, or gait analysis.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are preferred, along with additional certifications in areas such as geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be necessary for potential home visits.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 annually, proportionate to the candidate's experience and qualifications.
