Work Environment
Located in the vibrant community of Babylon, our clinic operates on a Monday through Friday schedule, with shifts available from either 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm. Working onsite in our well-equipped outpatient clinic, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, fostering an atmosphere of teamwork and mutual support. The clinic setup allows for efficient patient assessments and treatment sessions, ensuring you have the resources needed to excel in your role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify limitations and develop individualized treatment plans that target specific rehabilitation goals.
  • Employ a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercise prescription, and modalities such as ultrasound or electrical stimulation, tailored to patient needs.
  • Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and overall wellness to empower them in their recovery journey.
  • Participate in the clinical instruction of physical therapy students and interns, providing mentorship and sharing knowledge to elevate the standard of care.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the organization by providing feedback on clinical practices and proposing research opportunities in your areas of expertise.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with compliance standards, ensuring actionable insights from assessments and treatments are captured.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on patients recovering from various orthopedic conditions, including but not limited to post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain disorders. You will work closely with individuals at different stages of their recovery, emphasizing patient engagement and motivation to achieve their health goals. By forming strong therapeutic relationships, you'll play a crucial role in guiding their rehabilitation process and fostering their confidence in regaining mobility.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Active Physical Therapy license in the state of New York.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, particularly within orthopedic rehabilitation.
  • Proficient clinical assessment skills and an aptitude for tailoring effective treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team.
Preferred Experience
  • Board certification in Orthopedic Physical Therapy, demonstrating advanced knowledge and commitment to the field.
  • Experience with digital documentation and electronic health record systems.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based rehabilitation practices and the ability to incorporate them into patient treatment plans.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
