Work Environment
As a Physical Therapist within our Rehabilitation Center, you will engage with patients in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations that include assessing patient history and performing specific tests to determine the most effective treatment plan.
  • Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to patients and their families, integrating their input into goal-setting processes.
  • Execute and modify treatment protocols based on evaluation results and patient progress, reflecting adaptability to the evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary, documenting any changes in the patient's condition that require adjustments to the care plan.
  • Oversee discharge planning and follow-up care, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and timely-this includes initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Manage time effectively, meeting productivity expectations while maintaining a detailed schedule of patient appointments.
  • Engage in community marketing initiatives and participate in department meetings to contribute ideas for improvement and patient engagement.
  • Participate in ongoing education for your professional development while mentoring students as a clinical instructor.
  • Advocate for a positive patient experience by adapting your approach based on individual needs and feedback.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your work will primarily involve adult and geriatric patients who require skilled rehabilitation services post-surgery, injury, or chronic illness. You will cater to a diverse demographic, understanding the unique challenges faced by each individual and customizing therapy sessions to enhance their recovery and restore their independence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy is required; Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) preferred.
  • A valid physical therapy license in the State of New Jersey is mandatory.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and team members are essential.
Preferred Experience
  • While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the educational and licensure requirements.
Compensation and Benefits
