Key Responsibilities
- Implement individualized therapeutic plans under the guidance of licensed physical therapists, ensuring positive patient outcomes.
- Assist patients in executing a variety of exercise regimens aimed at improving strength, flexibility, and overall mobility.
- Utilize manual therapy techniques, stretching, and therapeutic massage to reduce pain and enhance mobility.
- Monitor and document patient progress before, during, and after therapy sessions, discussing observations with supervising therapists.
- Instruct patients in the safe use of ambulatory equipment, including walkers and canes, to facilitate independent mobility.
- Educate both patients and their family members about at-home exercises, lifestyle modifications, and post-treatment self-care strategies.
- Assist in the training and mentorship of support staff and less experienced colleagues to foster a collaborative learning environment.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned to maintain efficient clinic operations.

Qualifications
- Graduate from a CAPTE (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education)-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
- Possess a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License and an AAS PTA degree.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and team members.
- At least two years of experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.
- Experience in mentoring junior staff or providing training is advantageous.
