Work Environment
As an onsite Physical Therapist at our rehabilitation center, you will work closely with a collaborative and supportive team of healthcare professionals, including physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other specialists. Our work environment is designed to be both high-energy and patient-centered, encouraging therapists to engage with patients on a personal level, enhance their motivation, and facilitate better recovery outcomes. You will have access to a variety of resources, including individualized meeting spaces and therapeutic equipment. The role is primarily Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients' musculoskeletal conditions, including sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy programs that integrate advanced techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and neuromuscular re-education.
  • Monitor patient progress meticulously, document treatment outcomes, and adjust care plans to optimize healing and recovery.
  • Educate and empower patients with knowledge on injury prevention, at-home exercise regimens, and self-care strategies for long-term health maintenance.
  • Collaborate with residents, families, and facility staff to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Maintain clear communication with various healthcare providers to ensure a well-coordinated treatment process.
  • Provide ongoing support and motivation to patients, helping them reach their recovery goals.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our primary focus is on patients dealing with orthopedic issues, ranging from athletes with acute injuries to individuals recovering from surgeries. We also connect with patients experiencing chronic pain conditions. Our team works diligently to adapt treatments based on each patient's unique conditions, backgrounds, and physical capabilities, ensuring that every individual receives the utmost care and attention.
Qualifications
  • A valid and active Physical Therapist license in the state of New Jersey is required.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with a Doctorate (DPT) or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in outpatient orthopedics.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in therapeutic techniques and modern rehabilitation methodologies.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience managing complex orthopedic cases in an outpatient setting.
  • Clinical experience or additional certifications in areas such as geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems to track patient information.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license for potential home visitations.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, our benefits package includes:
