Work Environment
The PTA role is set within a bustling hospital environment where healthcare professionals work together to provide exemplary patient care. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed physical therapists in the execution of individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific needs of our diverse patient population.
  • Provide hands-on therapy techniques, such as manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to assist patients in their rehabilitation journey.
  • Educate patients and their families on appropriate exercises, pain management strategies, and home care techniques to enhance recovery.
  • Monitor patient progress diligently, documenting changes and reporting them to the supervising physical therapist to adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient management.
  • Utilize specialized techniques, including trigger point therapy, to address muscle tension and facilitate healing.
  • Promote and support occupational health initiatives within the organization, contributing to a holistic approach to patient wellness.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a wide range of patients, from pediatric to geriatric, who are recovering from orthopedic surgeries, managing chronic pain, or undergoing rehabilitation following injuries. You will have the opportunity to implement treatment plans tailored to each individual's specific health concerns, thus positively impacting their recovery and quality of life.
Qualifications
  • Must possess an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assistant, with a strong foundation in human anatomy and physiology.
  • Possession of a currently active PTA state license is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting is essential.
  • Proficient in manual therapy techniques and familiar with contemporary therapeutic modalities.
  • Ability to efficiently utilize medical terminology and document relevant patient information.
  • Effective interpersonal skills with a strong commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a hospital or multidisciplinary rehab setting is highly desirable, as it demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse healthcare team. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems can also be advantageous for efficient patient documentation.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range between USD 50,000 and USD 70,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
