Work Environment
Working onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including physical therapy assistants and physicians. Our therapeutic setting is designed to promote patient-centered care, while our staff enjoys a manageable workload that allows for individualized patient attention. The clinic operates Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, facilitating a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with various orthopedic conditions, including sports injuries, post-operative recovery, and chronic pain syndromes.
  • Develop and implement personalized therapeutic programs using advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education strategies.
  • Regularly track and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment modalities, injury prevention, and effective home exercise regimens.
  • Empower patients to engage in their own recovery by providing them with tools and resources for long-term wellness.
  • Collaborate with team members and other healthcare providers to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Monitor patient conditions continuously and communicate any significant changes to supervising physicians and relevant healthcare team members.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your role will primarily involve working with a diverse patient population, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals experiencing chronic musculoskeletal pain. Our clinic emphasizes community involvement, and you will have the opportunity to engage with patients from various backgrounds, helping them regain mobility and achieve their rehabilitation goals through dedicated care.
Qualifications
  • A valid New Jersey Physical Therapist license is required.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is the minimum educational requirement; a Doctorate (DPT) or Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is required; however, new graduates with substantial clinical experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to communicate empathetically and effectively with patients and families.
  • Possession of CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; additional certifications in geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation will be considered a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for any potential home health visits.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred, candidates with recent clinical experience and a strong academic foundation are also encouraged to apply. Experience with electronic health record systems and familiarity with clinic workflows would be advantageous in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
Mend Force Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
