Work Environment
Your role will be primarily onsite in our modern rehabilitation center, which emphasizes a supportive and collaborative atmosphere. At Total Fit Physical Therapy, our team consists of skilled healthcare professionals who are dedicated to their craft and work together to create a positive experience for all patients. You will work mostly Monday to Friday from 2 PM to 8 PM, allowing you to maintain a well-balanced work-life schedule while focusing on patient care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Providing high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients in collaboration with physicians and the patient care team.
  • Conducting thorough patient assessments to develop and implement individualized care plans aimed at achieving specific health goals and enhancing patient engagement.
  • Administering and overseeing most therapeutic interactions to ensure coordinated care throughout the rehabilitation journey.
  • Utilizing established laws and ethical guidelines to perform evaluations and treatment interventions, ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Assessing therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional statuses, participating actively in formulating comprehensive plans of care that align with physicians' recommendations.
  • Delivering skilled therapeutic care, including home visits when necessary, utilizing effective procedures and techniques to enhance patients' conditions in accordance with the treatment plan.
  • Educating patients, families, and caregivers about therapy techniques, exercises, and the use of therapeutic appliances or prosthetic devices needed for continued recovery.
  • Managing your caseload, determining daily staffing requirements, and coordinating patient assignments effectively to ensure seamless care delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population ranges widely from children to seniors, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain. You will engage with diverse patient backgrounds and conditions, tailoring your therapeutic techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. Building positive and trusting relationships with patients is essential in this role, as effective communication significantly enhances patient outcomes.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must possess the following:
  • A valid physical therapy license.
  • A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • No prior experience is necessary, making this an excellent opportunity for new graduates eager to apply their skills in a dynamic setting.
Preferred Experience
While no specific experience is required, candidates with internships or clinical rotations in orthopedics will be considered advantageous. Familiarity with patient management systems and documentation in rehabilitation settings will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
