Work Environment
This full-time position is onsite at our rehabilitation facility in Cresskill, providing a vibrant and patient-centered work environment. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced schedule while offering ample time for patient interaction and therapeutic activities. Our clinic is equipped with modern rehabilitation tools and technology, facilitating effective treatment and recovery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients presenting with musculoskeletal conditions, sports injuries, post-operative needs, and chronic pain.
  • Develop and implement tailored therapy programs that incorporate advanced manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education strategies.
  • Monitor and document patient progress through detailed record-keeping and adjust treatment plans to ensure optimal recovery.
  • Empower patients with knowledge about injury prevention, home exercise regimens, and maintenance of long-term wellness.
  • Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding exercises and wellness strategies to enhance understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with physical therapy assistants, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care.
  • Regularly communicate changes in patients' conditions to the treating physician and family to ensure a proactive approach to care adjustments.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our facility serves a diverse patient population ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to older adults undergoing rehabilitation post-surgery. Qualifications
  • Active Physical Therapist license in New Jersey is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or higher (Doctorate or Master's Degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient settings is required.
  • A proven track record of strong clinical knowledge, adaptability, and effective communication skills.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; additional certifications in specialties such as geriatrics or neurological rehabilitation are a plus.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required, as this enables flexibility for travel to various patient locations.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from $90,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
