This position is primarily onsite and involves working closely with patients in their homes. Key Responsibilities
The Licensed Orthopedic Physical Therapist will be responsible for the following:
  • Conducting comprehensive evaluations by reviewing patient history and performing targeted assessments. Develop personalized treatment plans based on findings and the evolving healthcare environment.
  • Effectively communicating evaluation results and treatment plans to patients and their families, encouraging involvement in goal setting and care processes.
  • Implementing treatment protocols per established guidelines and adapting strategies based on the patient's unique circumstances and responses to therapy.
  • Consulting with fellow healthcare professionals to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to patient care, modifying treatment plans as necessary to respond to changes in patient conditions.
  • Completing thorough discharge planning and facilitating follow-up care for ongoing rehabilitation support.
  • Maintaining accurate records of patient care, including complete documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, daily notes, and discharge reports, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Participating proactively in community outreach initiatives and hospital marketing efforts to promote physical therapy services, thereby enhancing access to care.
  • Engaging in continuing education and professional development opportunities to elevate personal and organizational growth.
  • Assisting in clinical instruction and mentorship for students and junior staff, fostering a culture of learning within the clinic.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The ideal candidate will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from post-operative orthopedic patients to those needing physical rehabilitation due to injury or chronic conditions. You will play a crucial role in improving patients' quality of life through tailored therapeutic strategies, helping them regain mobility, strength, and independence.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy. Having or pursuing a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is advantageous.
  • A valid state license for physical therapy practice in New Jersey.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association, specifically for healthcare providers.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
While prior work experience is not mandatory, we prefer candidates who have:
  • Internships or employment experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, as well as evidence-based treatment methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
