Urban Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Orlando, Florida. Our practice is privately owned and operated by experienced physical therapists who prioritize innovative treatment methods tailored to individual needs. Work Environment
The work setting is an upbeat and collaborative outpatient office designed to inspire both patients and staff alike. Our facility spans 5,000 square feet and is equipped with modern equipment and resources that facilitate advanced orthopedic treatments. The team currently includes two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), enabling a supportive work environment where knowledge sharing and professional growth are emphasized. The full-time schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced work-life experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify patients' objectives, needs, and capabilities, crafting personalized treatment plans accordingly.
  • Manage an effective caseload, treating one patient per hour and ensuring a high standard of care.
  • Implement a variety of evidence-based treatment techniques designed to enhance range of motion, strength, and mobility in orthopedic patients.
  • Educate patients on their conditions and the non-surgical options available to alleviate their symptoms while promoting long-term wellness.
  • Foster patient motivation and engagement through tailored fitness and rehabilitation programs that align with individual goals.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, adjusting care plans based on patient progress and outcomes.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment services in accordance with clinic policies, maintaining a clear and organized record-keeping system.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our outpatient practice primarily serves individuals with orthopedic concerns, including post-surgical recovery, chronic pain, sports injuries, and other musculoskeletal disorders. Patients often come to us with private medical insurance, ensuring access to personalized treatment plans without the barriers often found in larger healthcare setups. Our focus is on empowering patients to regain functionality and improve their quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
  • A valid Florida license to practice as a Physical Therapist is required.
  • A clean professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions against the license.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitative modalities.
  • Proficiency in developing and implementing exercise protocols tailored for diverse patient needs.
  • Experience using WebPT EMR software for efficient patient record management is preferred.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting or similar work environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, fostering a supportive therapeutic relationship.
  • A strong commitment to continuing education and staying updated with the latest advancements in physical therapy practices.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
