Our state-of-the-art 5000-square-foot sports medicine facility is equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation equipment, allowing our staff to provide innovative treatment solutions. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that our services are accessible to individuals striving to improve their health and mobility.
Work Environment
This position is entirely onsite at our Newport News facility, fostering a collaborative work environment where teamwork and communication are paramount. Our team consists of two licensed Physical Therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant, all committed to delivering evidence-based care. You will have the support of a well-trained staff and a management team that values continuous learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to accurately recognize their goals and needs.
  • Maintain an efficient caseload of one patient per hour, ensuring quality and personalized treatment.
  • Develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing various treatment techniques and modalities.
  • Implement cost-effective therapeutic interventions aimed at improving mobility, decreasing pain, and optimizing overall function.
  • Minimize reliance on medications by exploring and promoting non-surgical alternatives and lifestyle changes.
  • Design customized fitness and wellness programs that address patients' specific requirements and enhance their quality of life.
  • Motivate and encourage patients throughout their rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive and positive treatment environment.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, ensuring clear communication and integrated patient care.
  • Continuously monitor treatment effects and patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document all patient interactions and treatment sessions accurately to maintain comprehensive and organized patient records.
Patient Population / Client Focus
At our clinic, we primarily serve patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. Our patient demographic includes a wide range of ages and activity levels, from highly active athletes to individuals seeking pain relief and functional improvement. The diverse needs of our patients provide an enriching environment for you to develop your skills and expand your expertise.
Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • An active Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no history of board actions or disciplinary measures.
  • Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and proficiency in designing effective exercise programs.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, for efficient documentation and patient management.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience working as a Physical Therapist in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desired.
  • Experience with diverse patient populations and a variety of orthopedic conditions will enhance your candidacy.
  • Demonstrated ability in implementing evidence-based interventions and achieving positive patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits
