Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, reviewing medical histories, performing detailed physical assessments, and formulating effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment strategies to patients and their families, ensuring their active participation in goal-setting and care plans.
  • Implement treatment protocols with a focus on orthopedic conditions, utilizing a combination of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and client education to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to facilitate comprehensive patient care and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on patient progress.
  • Document all patient interactions meticulously, including initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress summaries, and discharge reports, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Manage time effectively to meet productivity standards while ensuring a high level of service and flexibility in response to patient needs.
  • Engage actively in marketing activities to promote our therapy services within the community and contribute to outreach initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor students, providing guidance as a clinical instructor and fostering an environment of professional growth.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. You will work closely with diverse clientele, including post-operative patients, individuals experiencing pain management issues, and those in need of rehabilitation for mobility and strength following physical trauma. Your expertise will significantly enhance their quality of life and restore their independence.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
  • A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Experience
While prior work experience is not mandatory, candidates with hands-on experience in orthopedic physical therapy settings are highly favored. Familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies, treatment techniques, and documentation systems will enhance your application.
