Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians to design customized treatment programs tailored to individual needs.
  • Implement evidence-based treatments in patients' homes, utilizing advanced therapeutic techniques to foster recovery and improve mobility.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that patients receive not only physical therapy but also emotional support throughout their healing journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus
The Physical Therapist at Canyon Orthopedics Clinic will work with a diverse patient population, including:
  • Orthopedic patients recovering from surgical interventions or injuries such as fractures, joint replacements, and soft tissue injuries.
  • Pediatric patients requiring therapeutic intervention for developmental issues or sports-related injuries.
  • Neurologic patients pursuing rehabilitation post-stroke or other neurological conditions to regain function and independence.
  • Athletes of all ages in need of physical therapy for sports injuries, focusing on injury prevention and performance enhancement.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
  • Current and valid state license to practice Physical Therapy in Virginia.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a clinical setting, emphasizing home care services.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate patients.
  • Proficient in word processing and electronic health record systems to document patient progress and treatment plans.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in home health settings, understanding the unique challenges and rewards associated with delivering care in patients' homes.
  • Familiarity with specialized therapeutic modalities such as manual therapy, modalities for pain management, and exercise prescription tailored to individual needs.
  • Previous exposure to multidisciplinary teams, enhancing collaborative care strategies for comprehensive patient management.
Compensation and Benefits
