Muscleworks Rehab & Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to become an integral part of our orthopedic rehabilitation team. Work Environment
This full-time position requires an onsite presence within a hospital environment, facilitating close collaboration with other healthcare providers and departments. Your typical work schedule will be Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a consistent routine. Key Responsibilities
  • Assist licensed physical therapists in designing and implementing effective treatment programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Provide hands-on therapeutic services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities, ensuring a high standard of patient care.
  • Educate patients about their treatment plans, including exercises and lifestyle changes to enhance rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Regularly monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions, ensuring data is accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create comprehensive care plans and ensure seamless transitions between phases of rehabilitation.
  • Utilize trigger point therapy techniques, when appropriate, to address specific pain sites and enhance recovery.
  • Support the occupational health initiatives within the facility, contributing to workforce wellness programs.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our orthopedic clinic serves a diverse patient population, ranging from young athletes recovering from sports injuries to seniors working to regain mobility after surgical procedures. You will have the opportunity to work with individuals across various demographics, making a positive impact on their recovery journey through targeted rehabilitation strategies.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance (or equivalent).
  • Current and active PTA state license.
  • A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant in a clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy.
  • Proficiency in manual therapy techniques to provide effective patient care.
  • Ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with patients and their families, building trust and rapport.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports therapy, and pain management will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and outcome measurement tools is also beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 50,000 to 70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
