Position Overview
Moon Orthopedic Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding patients on their journey to recover mobility and improve their functional outcomes. Through a multi-faceted approach involving assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation, you will help patients achieve their maximum potential in movement and quality of life.

Our center encompasses a sprawling 5000 square foot sports medicine environment, equipped with the latest technology and resources designed to foster patient recovery and wellness. Our team consists of experienced professionals committed to delivering exceptional rehabilitation services, primarily serving clients with private medical insurance.
Work Environment
You will work onsite at our rehabilitation center from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, in a collaborative environment alongside two physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant. We prioritize a patient-centered approach and strive to create a supportive atmosphere that fosters both professional development and exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to establish treatment goals and necessary interventions.
  • Manage a patient caseload efficiently, typically seeing one patient per hour, ensuring personalized and effective care.
  • Implement evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate a variety of techniques, fostering holistic recovery for each individual.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment processes as well as long-term health and mobility management.
  • Document all patient interactions accurately in our electronic medical record (EMR) system, including treatment effectiveness and progress monitoring.
  • Collaborate with our healthcare team and other specialists to optimize treatment strategies and patient care.
  • Encourage and motivate patients during their rehabilitation journey to achieve their best physical outcomes.
  • Develop tailored fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's unique recovery goals and personal lifestyles.
  • Advocate for preventative measures that enhance physical health and minimize the reliance on medications or further surgical interventions.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical rehabilitation and traumatic injuries. Our clientele is diverse, bringing unique challenges and opportunities for personalized care, ensuring no two days are the same. This role allows you to be at the forefront of improving the lives of individuals seeking to regain their independence and quality of life.
Qualifications
  • A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
  • Valid and current Physical Therapist license in the state of California.
  • A clean professional record with no board actions or disciplinary measures recorded against your license.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
  • Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques to enhance patient recovery.
  • Experience with developing and conducting tailored exercise regimens for a varied patient demographic.
  • Familiarity with EMR software platforms such as WebPT for efficient documentation and patient tracking.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, depending on experience and skill level.
