This position primarily takes place onsite at our hospital facility, which serves a varied patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal disorders. Key Responsibilities
  • Support Physical Therapists in conducting thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical abilities.
  • Carry out treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, aiming to enhance mobility, strength, balance, and overall functional status of patients.
  • Administer hands-on manual therapy techniques alongside therapeutic exercises and modalities that specifically target musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans, contributing insights during case conferences and treatment reviews.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding home exercise regimens, proper use of adaptive equipment, and strategies for injury prevention.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge recommendations in compliance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Engage in ongoing professional training and development activities aimed at achieving advanced certifications and staying current in best practices of orthopedic physical therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our patient population consists of individuals of all ages experiencing orthopedic conditions, such as post-operative recovery from joint surgeries, sports injuries, and degenerative diseases. Qualifications
  • Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
  • Possession of a valid California Physical Therapist Assistant License and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Physical Therapy Assisting.
  • Strong clinical assessment capabilities combined with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of one year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant is preferred, especially in an orthopedic or hospital-based setting.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $50,000 to $70,000, in addition to a comprehensive benefits package.
