Overview

Responsible for all areas of the Sleep Therapy resupply program and troubleshooting remotely or in-person the mechanical operation of Respiratory equipment to the customer, family and caregivers. Making accurate pressure adjustments remotely or in-person as directed by physicians, as well as software downloads from sleep-related respiratory equipment. Requires clear and concise instruction to our patients on Respiratory equipment along with arranging over-night pulse oximeter testing and instructing. Qualifications
Education:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
Home care experience with medical equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities
Manages CPAP replenishment program through a specified vendor software to ensure all requirements are met to dispense products. Uploads orders to logistics software and then tracks all orders to confirm delivery.
Uses designated websites to verify customer benefits, enrolls customers in auto-pay per policy. Ensures prescriptions are up to date and meet all requirements.
Reviews prescription and properly adjusts settings in-person or remotely via modem. Instructs patients and caregivers on the mechanical use and maintenance of home equipment via in-person or remotely, i.e., CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen delivery systems, and other medical equipment as needed.
Follows and enforces safety rules, instructions, and procedures of Memorial Home Services to contain and minimize the spread of infection through proper equipment maintenance and supply replacement.
Manages incoming phone call inquiries for Respiratory specific issues or questions.

Manages overnight pulse oximetry orders, arranges for customer pick-up, cleans and maintains inventory along with uploading equipment data to Independent diagnostic testing lab.
Records pressure changes and compliance with sleep therapy in the EMR and consults with Respiratory Care Practitioner any adverse effects with equipment compliance.
May test respiratory therapy equipment for proper and safe operation and checks equipment for proper operations and routine service. Reports malfunctioning equipment to appropriate department.
Participates with in-services and other staff development activities to develop and maintain necessary competencies.
Maintains the security and confidentiality of all patient records and information.
Participates in departmental or multidisciplinary teams related to safety, education, best practice, patient satisfaction, or process improvement.
Serves as a department liaison for answering customer and physician office phone calls, may have in-person encounters in the retail setting and acting as a backup for other areas within the organization.
May schedules and prioritizes daily routing of in-home customer visits within our delivery area for the Respiratory Care Practitioner along with scheduling all in-office appointments.
Recommends additional equipment and/or supplies to customers based on their needs or requests.
Performs other related work as required or requested.

- Possess basic computer keyboarding skills and the ability to use Microsoft software.
- Possess excellent communication, customer relations, professional image and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to push or pull up to 35lbs is required.
- Possesses the knowledge of, or demonstrates the willingness to learn, Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance coverage guidelines and basic reimbursement policies as required.
