Sentara Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Cath Lab at Sentara CarePlex Hospital in Hampton, VA. This is a full-time, day shift opportunity offering a collaborative environment, professional growth, and the chance to care for patients during life-saving cardiovascular and interventional procedures.

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Hours
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Approximately 15 days of on-call coverage per month (including every 3rd or 4th weekend)
- 30-minute on-call response time required

Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) or RN Diploma (Required)
- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
Certification/Licensure
- Active RN license (Required)
- BLS within 90 days of hire
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
Experience
- Previous acute care (ICU, ED, etc) or cath lab experience (Preferred)
- Experience circulating and monitoring invasive cardiac procedures, endovascular procedures, and interventional radiology procedures (Preferred)
